Nokia launches Online Music Store

Nokia announces its Music Store service going live from today. Thou not as perfect or cool like the iTunes store, but looks good enough for HSDPA speeds on handsets. The Nokia Music Store allows wireless music purchases which directly downloads to the handsets . The store offers only 192Kbps audio in Windows Media Audio (WMA) format(DRM protected! Shit…….!).

Nokia today announces a slew of devices two Bluetooth headsets and a in car-navigation system. The BH-902 and BH-903 Bluetooth headsets both sports a cool looking OLED display. Nokia BH-903 is compatible with Bluetooth device that supports A2DP, AVRCP, PBAP, HFP and HSP profiles. The headset can even be used as a remote control for your digital music devices or simply your phone but needs bluetooth. Weighing at just 23-grams its a tad costly at €200/$274.

Recently Nokia and Motorola said that the Chinese authorities in the southern province of Guangdong had discovered some duplicate cell phone batteries which had chances of exploding any minute in case they were connected to cell phones.
There was a case of explosion of a battery due to which Xiao Jinpeng, 22, was killed on June 19 when the battery exploded in a Motorola phone he had in his shirt pocket. His ribs splintered apart and pierced his heart.

Nokia 8600 Luna is now official

Nokia’s latest handset 8600 Luna which was highly rumoured is finally official now. It will be priced at $700.. oh that seems to bring a big in hole in pocket. It has a stainless steel and glass finishing. In addition to this it has a Translucent smoked glass slider over the keypad. The phone will be launched in Q2 or Q3

The 8600 Luna which is a series 40 phone will have following features :-

  • A 2 megapixel camera

    Highly featured cell phones may ride over Apple iphone

    Nowadays, one can see many cell phones with wide range of features like music, camera, videos, games, etc. Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics seem to be producing highly acceptable cell phones with high range of features. This has proved Apple little bit difficult to compete with these companies.

    At a price tag of $500 to $600 which is spectacularly high resulting in opening the door for other handset makers with similar models worldwide. Despite of this fact Apple still expects to sell 10 million of the phones in 2008.

    Nokia’s all new barracuda-2630

    Nokias all new barracuda 2630

    Nokia recently unveiled a thin Barracuda phone and six new entry-level handsets. It also includes the Nokia 1200 which is the cheapest among the range and will be sold for $50 only.

    The 2630 is about 0.4 inches thick. The phone is scheduled to hit the next quarter.
    The extimated price is from $115-$130 – subject to taxes.
