Sony’s President Kaz Hirai has unveiled plans of offering video services to the play station network including non-game contents. The service is likely to be introduced first in the U.S and eventually to UK and Japan. He also said that this may boost the network popularity and obviously the revenue.

Although people are still comfortable with video-by-mail service, Sony will have a tough time streaming videos. I know it sounds all cool with the video service soon but I’d rather reckon youtube as it is well placed and with the most convenient user experience. As of now, Sony have to start gathering what exactly the consumer wants and how a average daily gamers goes about videos. Anyway, Rome wasn’t built in a day. So good luck Sony, you will need it!
