Rumor: Trioxide, the first ever emulator for the Wii, 360 and the PS3?

June 19th, 2008

Visual Boy Advance, Project 64 and ZSNES were some of the popular emulators for the games from the NES, the 8-bit sega and the Nintendo DS. Surprisingly, Kotaku claims that it has discovered something that will allow games of the Wii, 360 and PS3 platform to be played on the PC. For the sake of it, this could be just like that Microsoft Xbox 360 Blu-ray version. Living with denials.

Now youtube for your PS3 games

May 17th, 2008

Atlast, you can now show off that neck breaking turn or the brutal headshot on youtube. API has announced that developers now can include YouTube API for their future Playstation 3 games. This also means that it will allow developers to include the upload and the download button directly into the game, so that users can do both instantaneously. Electronic Arts’s Skate already uses a similar technology but the video is hosted by themselves.

Sony’s Rumored $99 PS2 coming to US in 2008

November 2nd, 2007

Recently Sony laid out it plans to make the PS3 much cheaper with component removals. But today MCV reports that a new Playstation 2 model might hit US by next year for just $99. The new model as reported might sport a more “compact” design and have a “built-in power supply.”

Sonys Rumored $99 PS2 coming to US in 2008

The decision may also come as Sony’s sometime back decided to drop all backwards compatibility from the new 40GB PS3 model. But as usual Sony representatives “refused to comment” over it. But I’m sure they are regretting their decision on dropping PS2 compatibility from the PS3. Now question is would you go for a spanking new PS3 or the 7 year old veteran the PS2. Whats your take on this guys?

October 30th, 2007

Atlast Sony confirms the new 40GB Playstation 3. The new PS3 isn’t just a toned down version of the previous editions. Thou the hard disk have been cut down to 40GB, Sony decided its time for the newer 65nm version of the Cell processor and the RSX.

The new processor would run much cooler and quieter, plus reduction of power consumption to around 135 Watts down from 200 Watts. Other changes include the new motherboard. At the same time, Sony installs the revised Heat Pipe, which now seems less massive. To save the system time integrates Sony also is a button battery on the motherboard. Finally PS3 will be cheap enough for a poor guy like me.
