Logitech PlayGear Pocket Slim Debuting Next Month

As all the PSP fans know, Logitech has produced the best ever Playstation Portable cases ever especially the Playgear Pocket. But for the PSP Slim and Lite, there are no cases whatsoever from Logitech … until now that is. Logitech has announced the launch of PlayGear Pocket Slim next month.

The design of the case remains the same but the size has shrunk to fit the PSP 2000. Also a custom template for a skin of your choice. According to this page, it is made out of polycarbonate and supports play-in-case design. It also fits fits the Sony 2200 mAh extended life battery for extra battery options. A 1 year limited warranty and priced at $14.99, it appears to be less sturdy than its predecessor.

Google enters PSP with firmware 4.0

‘Don’t be evil’, thats what Google said when it entered the internet world. And now it has entered the PSP with the firmware 4.0 . You can now search from the XMB cross media bar of the PSP with Google and get results within a jiffy (not that it needs explaining).

Eric Lempel, director of the Playstation network wrote that with this new firmware update, people will be able to get the Google experience same as the way that they get on the web. Google search of the PSP will be able to recall 20 search items. Of course, users have to connect to the net via a wifi hotspot nearby.

Hype, hype and more hype. This what this phone’s been living ever since rumors of PSP-like-phone from Sony got around. The new F305 does not have that much to talk about but hey, its a gaming phone. So, a slow dramatic applause will be appreciated. The only plus point I see is the built-in accelerometer for the motion controlled games.

Sadly, the games are going to be old school like and really simple. Two playstation buttons have been incorporated in this stuff and they are the O and X. The phone is on A2DP and will be announced today. You can expect these to hit the market this Q3.

Its often irritating that when you are on your DS or PSP, you suddenly observe that the battery is low . Sony could no longer resist. The constant battle between hackers and Sony has finally got onto their nerves. Few months back, Sony was like “What hack ???”. Engineers at Sony are after all only human. They can’t fight piracy when cunning and intelligent people than them around the world.

This is for the freaks who love there PSP’s. The good news is, you can change the controller settings on PSone games and quit remote play from the PS3 without affecting the download. The bad news is, this update is of no use to you if you don’t have a PS3. In short, the update contains the following :

♦ As told above, you now have the ‘ability’ of changing the controller buttons to your convenience. For this, proceed to Controller Settings > Assign buttons > Custom.

How To Connect Sony PSP to Xbox 360

A quick tutorial on how to connect the new XBox 360 with your Sony PSP. Basically, all you have to do is connect both gaming consoles with a USB cable / USB mini connector, then set the PSP into USB Mode.

Once connected, you can navigate your PSP’s hard drive (or memory card) through the Xbox 360, and view the picture files. Not quite hard DIY, still its really cool.
