Sony recently unveiled the all new PSP, well it looks it’s pretty much similar to that of the present one. The new PSP’s dimensions seem to remain almost same. But the new PSP is 33 percent lighter and 19 percent thinner. Even the games would load pretty much faster as compared to previous version. But there was no information on the battery performance when compared to the previous version.
The all new PSP has video output capabilities. It can output video to an external display, for instance television, monitor, etc.

A PSP has a MIPS R4000-based CPU designed for a clock speed of 333MHz, almost every single PSP game runs at 222MHz. So far the firmware dint squeeze the whole juice from a PSP, but now the latest firmware has enabled the PSP to make full use of its resources. The new firmware v3.5 set clock speeds to 333MHz which is the real capacity of a PSP.
Some games like Ratchet & Clank need a clock speed of up to 266Mhz. The speed won’t make any difference for the already existing games but in the case of new games, if they really require more speeds then only the speeds will be used accordingly.

Sony with its latest firmware update trying to secretly cement your PSP. Even if its got a new memory saving mode for the PSP's web browser and support for new Playstation Network games, they never told us they did slip in some kinda blocker to prevent illegal firmware modifications!

Sony's latest PSP firmware version 3.03 becomes yet another scapegoat for crackers, with the recent hacks that have took place no wonder, PSP firmware was just a matter of days. But the only thing that is standing between you and hacking the PSP, is that you need an unpatched GTA:LCS UMD. Yes GTA Liberty City Stories, NOT Vice City Stories!
If you think that the new UMD's that are now sold will get you through the hacking, then you are wrong, so find a used one or ask your friends if they have one.
