This is for all the Wii fanboys out there! As you would Nintendo put the stamp that Wii DVD playback is only for Japan, as of now. But a mod chip companiy namely Team Symbiote has create some apps for the owner of their Wii mod chip that lets you play DVDs without a hitch. But you did still would ask Nintendo whys is such kinda discrimination going on. We pay the same price or more like the dudes in Japan would, seriously we have been taken for a ride. Lawsuits! Anyone.

Nintendo does it again by announcing WiiWare for game developers for Wii console. WiiWare is a developer tool just like Microsoft’s XNA Game Studio for Xbox, but for Wii console. This allows game developers both small & large an opportunity to create a game that is downloadable content & sale by Nintendo through Wii Shop Channel. The WiiWare will be launched early 2008.

Electronic Arts recently announced that it will soon release a new Simpsons video game before this year end.
This game will feature most of the familiar Simpsons characters, and presumably, the storyline. It will also feature the voice actors from the TV series. The characters included will be- Homer, Marge, Bart and Lisa.The main plot of the game will be- Homer, Marge, Bart and Lisa use exciting, all-new powers to save the world from rising chaos.

Looking after the heavy demand by the consumers especailly in Japan, Nintendo had to disclose its future plans, i.e. the upcoming games coming for Wii. Finally the much talked about Wii channel is out of trail & is fit to use it. The new Opera browser in the Wii will be user friendly so you get clear text display, a zoom function and a good navigation with Wii remote. You also get to choose your default search engine to be Google or Yahoo (don’t worry its not one time setting, you can change the default). But better hurry up people because Internet Channel will be available for free download until June 30th only after that you have to download it through Wii Shop Channel for 500 Wii points.
