Xbox 360 Jasper Motherboard with 512MB to be in US stores

June 17th, 2009

The new Xbox 360 Jasper motherboard with 512MB internal MU is soon going to hit the stores in US. It’s got a 4gbit(giga bits) Samsung NAND chip inside. This is twice the size of the old one that was of 256MB of internal storage and had a good efficient design.

The motherboard still seems like a Jasper-model, only real change seems to be the NAND. The extra space is all used to give you a larger internal memory unit. The original Arcade Jasper has a 2gbit NAND and gave users an 214MBytes of usable internal memory, guess the new one should give you 496Mbytes of usable internal MU.

PowerBook/Xbox 360 Mod: OSXBOX 360 or Xbox G4

PowerBook/Xbox 360 Mod: OSXBOX 360 or Xbox G4

Modder Phil Herlihy is an avid Mac and Xbox fan who happened to have some spare 360 shells lying around and was itching to make Apple love Microsoft. Believe it or not, that dumbass took his old PowerBook G4 apart and put it into that ugly Xbox 360 casing.

It’s impressive but I really don’t get the point as DIY projects involving mods cramming big stuffs to get inside smaller ones. But buddy, you could have still managed a little better with that dangling DVD drive.

Microsoft adds two new color codes for the Xbox 360 Controller

July 15th, 2008

At last, you can see some colorful controllers from now on. Not that there aren’t any, but this one is for the record. Microsoft has planned to do a paintjob to its controllers with bright red and green. If you ask me, the green one looks slimy.

Xbox 360 ‘Lips’ on the camera

July 12th, 2008

Remember an announcement made when Microsoft was planning to build a karaoke game called Lips, well the Lips microphone has made a cameo appearance. Gamekyo have reportedly got the snaps and here’s how they look:

Xbox 360 Lips on the camera

There is even a box art and beleive me, it couldn’t get any worse. The microphone itself is a mystery, the glowing LEDs look kind of real but at the sametime look kind of photoshopped (then again, I am not an expert in photography). What do you guys reckon? The LEDs jump according to your voice rhythm and pitch. The microphone is expected to make an appearance in the coming E3.

PC-XB01 case mod: Make your 360 quieter, cooler!

June 25th, 2008

PC XB01 case mod: Make your 360 quieter, cooler!

The PC-XB01 case might just solve your Xbox 360 overheating problems and keep  it cool and keep it quite. The dual 70mm fans on the Xbox 360 are replaced with one 120mm ultra quiet fan, with optional water cooling and thick, sound-proofing slabs of foam to quiten that annoying disc drive. But all love for this mod gets lost when we come to know it is four times the size of an Xbox 360.

A Piece of advice! if you are done for with those RROD’S and other Xbox 360 crap, seriously buy a PS3.

Xbox 360 Core Going Xbox 360 Arcade?

    August 20th, 2007

Xbox 360 Core Going Xbox 360 Arcade?

Well if you have heard some rumors regarding the Arcade version then here’s one such. Well we are not sure if this is true as though there is a pic above it looks as though the word ‘Arcade’ has been photoshopped by a noob.

Well Anyways if this rumor is true then, it seems like the Core version of the Xbox360 will be soon discontinued. A new version will be replaced in its place- Xbox360 Arcade. It will be pretty much similar to the core version with same looks and features except for a wireless controller and a 256MB memory card and last but not the least it includes 5 Xbox Live Arcade games for free which are absolutely free.
