The folks from IGN were lucky enough to get their hands on
the beta version of “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare”
Although the beta version was for Xbox 360, they were assured
that all three versions (PC, PS3 & Xbox 360) will have identical
Multiplayer Experience.
According to reports about 1/3rd of all Xbox 360 consoles are affected with the fatal hardware error known as the “Red Ring of Death,†due to which Microsoft extended its warranty to three years. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer spoke out on the topic on stage, saying, “We have to learn from our mistakes. It was painful to announce the write-off that we had to announce, and yet we knew we had to take care of our customers.â€
Well you might have heard many rumors about the Xbox360 price drop, but this time there was a Walmart ad which revealed that the Xbox360 premium version price will be dropped to 350$. Oh well if that’s the case then it’s a good deal. The above pic reveals the ad that the Walmart had published.
Microsoft recently extended Xbox360’s warranty to 3 years. But unfortunately Microsoft didn’t cut any prices of Xbox360. Instead they announced an all new Xbox 360 Halo themed console.
The Halo Special Edition Xbox360 Console will be shipping this September, which be the same time when Halo3 will be released.
The console will have the following features:
Spartan green and gold finish
Matching Xbox 360 Wireless Controller,
20GB Hard Drive,
Headset,
Play & Charge Kit,
HDMI output
And, not to forget Microsoft will also include exclusive Halo 3 Gamer Pics and Theme available via Xbox Live download. The pricing for the Halo Special Edition Console has not been announced yet.
With not even few hours after the launch of Nvidia’s all new DX10 capable card- 8700M GT, Nvidia has proven to be a little heavy on Xbox360 fans. Nvidia’s tests have officially overtaken the Xbox360 by a notebook GPU. This card seems to be rendering better looks than a Xbox360. You can view the results from the pics. The all new 8700M GT has first appeared on Toshiba’s Dynabook Satellite WXW.

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 spring Dashboard update will be of really great importance to gamers.
The update is to hit the beginning of the week of May 7th, the following stuff is included in the updates:-
Your contact list will now integrate Windows Live Messenger, In addition to that the messenger contacts can also see what game you’re playing, and your gamertag as well.
The Market place will be unique, it will be skinned according to your theme.
