Yahoo Messenger for Vista finally hands on preview!

December 7th, 2007

If you haven’t forgotten way back in January, Yahoo announced they were developing Yahoo Messenger for Vista but since then no signs of either any beta or atleast something. The introduction of Yahoo Messenger 9 made it more obvious that YM for Vista might become a vaporware. Fortunately Yahoo has responded with a download preview after nearly a year of silence.

At first sight you would love the round edges. The Yahoo! Messenger for Vista utilizes new Aero features in Windows Vista. When you first login into it you’ll see the slick new look…. you can customize the color of the screen alongside the size of your friends icon on the buddy list.

Yahoo Messenger 9 for Windows in the Spotlight

October 31st, 2007

Yesterday Yahoo launched the beta version of the Yahoo Messenger 9. Most noticeably you would see apart from the eye candy the new client houses lots of improvement then its older brother.

The coolest feature that i have encounter is that you don’t have to now leave your chat conversation window to watch videos from sites like Youtube, yahoo videos. Also inside the chat window you could preview images and maps.
