Yahoo Japan Teams Up With Apple iTunes

Yahoo Japan and Apple, Inc. have teamed up recently and has replaced a Sony Corp.-affiliated music download service on Yahoo Japan with Apple’s iTunes Music Store. With this partnership its now possible for users to access iTunes through Yahoo Music Japan. The iTunes music store now onwards will be the default store for Yahoo Japan.

Yahoo is currently very popular in Japan and has above 40 million users which is actually 84% of the country’s internet users, wow that’s certainly a lot. Well no wonder Apple planned for teaming up with Yahoo Japan.

Yahoo! Photos Erased, Flickr Shines

Yahoo Inc. has decided to shutdown its Yahoo photos after its shares have tumbled down to 5.8 percentage, where as on the other hand Flickr has gained shares to 4.5 percent from 3.7 percent. Flickr is a Yahoo’s Web 2.0 enabled site & Yahoo is asking its Photo users to move to Flickr. Yahoo has offered its Photo users to export their photo’s to either Flickr or other competing sites like Photobucket, Kodak Gallery, Snapfish or Shutterfly. In June millions of Yahoo Photo users will be notified about the site closure and will be asked to move their photos to other sites.

Yahoo! now back with WebMessenger

Yahoo Inc., which needs no introduction, undoubtedly the leader of instant-messaging seems to have a desire to compete each and every step the search engine giant Google takes.

Till sometime ago, Google was known for its special GTalk service, which could be used even without downloading any messenger. Now, Yahoo! also comes up with something similar. This is a newer version of its instant messaging that works from inside the web browser rather than requiring to users to download a separate piece of software.
